Recurve Quiver 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 3
I'm shooting my recurve in our winter league and need a quiver for hunting and plinking. Do I get one that goes on the bow or one i carry on my side or back. Might hunt deer with it this fall. Any suggestion or your knowledge would be helpful. Thanks Pudge

Although I don't shoot a recurve I prefer my quiver mounted on the bow simply to allow easier movement through brush. I feel that I have less to snag on and loose if they are attached to my bow then banging on my hip.

That being said I do shoot 3D with a side quiver as it's more convenient and I feel that I'm slightly more accurate without it on my bow (this is especially true outdoors when wind is a factor). I've never used one mounted to my back however and am interested to hear about anyones experience with that.

Good luck!

Hey Pudge, I really think it comes down to personal preference. I have use about every different type there is, from back quivers, side and strap ons, but I like a quiver that attaches to my bow—I just like that extra weight that it adds. Great Northern Quivers are so far one of my favorites. I have a take-down recurve, and the GN model I have attaches right to the bolts. It’s quiet, adjustable and can be taken off at anytime. My suggestion is go to 3riversarchery.com or kustomkingarchy.com and check out their selections.
